My passion for traditional Indian cooking started at a young age. Growing up in an Indian Gujarati home we cooked and ate healthy curries every day. I learnt how to cook curries, which spices were used and what cooking methods were needed. This was my first step in learning a life skill that I, my friends and my family have all enjoyed together.
I later married into a Punjabi family where I learned how to unlock their unique flavours using different techniques and spices. Over the years my dishes have become a fusion of Gujarati and Punjabi flavours.
As a mother, I know the importance of home-cooked meals for my family which are healthy and full of nutrients. I take great pleasure in teaching others to cook delicious, authentic Indian food at home.
Over the years I have had many friends and family compliment me on my food, wanting me to teach them how to cook and pushing me to set up my cooking school as I have a true passion for cooking and a great teaching style.
In 2021 I set up a range of cooking classes to teach people how to cook a variety of authentic Indian meals from my family kitchen based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. I take great pride in teaching people that making tasty homemade curries does not have to be a daunting or overwhelming experience.
All of my courses are designed to be simple to cook yet they are packed full of flavour tailored to your taste, cooked by you - exactly how you like it!
